6 Meetups in Amman, Irbid and Kerak building up to the forum planned on 4 to 6 September 2023 Inshallah. The Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) Forum operating with the title: The future is now… Foresights, Innovation, and Adaptability will be held in Amman.
The Cultural and Creative Industries Forum is a three-day event taking place from September 4-6, 2023 in Amman, Jordan. The forum aims to bring together various stakeholders, including the government, cultural and creative scene, practitioners, youth, policy makers, strategists, and non-state actors, to establish dialogue around the advancement of the Cultural and Creative Industries in Jordan.
The forum will cover several thematic topics, including foresight, sectoral analysis, innovation, economic growth, job creation, and employability. Sectoral analysis is essential for the development of the industry, as it helps identify the essential competencies needed for the future of employability and jobs creation. The forum will identify and develop the necessary skills for the future, with a focus on jobs futurism readiness for the next 5 to 10 years. The forum will also discuss strategies and policies for attracting foreign productions and provide insights for future development through case studies of successful creative businesses and initiatives in Jordan and the region.
Innovation will be a key theme of the forum, with discussions on the role of technology and innovation in advancing the cultural and creative industries. Other topics will include NFTs and blockchain and the promise of digital emancipation, future trends in the digital transformation of the creative industries such as virtual and augmented reality, gaming, and e-sports, and audience engagement. The forum will also explore the growth mindset and agile and adaptable business models for startups and scaleups in the digital age.
The importance of the cultural and creative economy for economic growth and job creation will be a central focus of the forum. Strategies for developing and promoting local creative industries, access to finance and funding for cultural and creative entrepreneurs, and key trends in the development of the creative economy and creative industries will also be discussed. The forum will assess, measure, and forecast the development of creative industries and explore strategies for success in the creative economy, including financing creative ideas and creating women-focused and enabled environments within cultural and creative industries.
The forum will feature a variety of formats, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, talks, workshops, dialogue groups, policy meetings, and strategic meetings. These formats will provide opportunities for networking, exchanging ideas, and establishing dialogues among participants. The forum aims to enhance the action plan to strengthen the sector through group brainstorming sessions and a panel discussion on attracting international talent. The event will also include performances, exhibitions, and cultural activities to engage participants and enhance their experience.
